Twenty one states have are operating an approved occupational safety and health program. This program is operated by the Utah Occupational Safety and Health.

The goal of Utah Occupational Safety and Health (UOSH) is to preserve human resources by providing safety and health assistance through consultation, training, and education for employees and employers and by establishing and enforcing occupational safety and health standards.
