U.S. Green Building Council North Carolina Chapter: The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a coalition of leaders from the building industry working to promote buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work. USGBC has more than 6,400 member organizations and more than 80 regional chapters. The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is the creator of LEED.
The NC HealthyBuilt Homes Program: Provides a certificate for homes meeting "green home guidelines" built by residential builders who practice sustainable, high performance building strategies making the home a comfortable, healthy and affordable place that reduces energy and water usage, promotes renewable energy use and helps protect the land where the home is built.
Green Built Alliance: A nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing sustainability in the built environment.
